Carte Blanche is the second adventure game developed by Absurdus. This game was originally intended to be played as a series of episodes, but finally stayed as a single episode.
The story of this game is set in Montreal in the year 1924, Edgar Delacroix decides to leave his family and birth place and go to the "big city" in search of new challenges, and in fact, a new life.
Playability: The game is quite simple in its gameplay, because we control everything with the two mouse buttons. The right button opens a menu where we will see how our cases are going, information about the characters, our objects, etc., and of course, to save our game and leave the game.
While the left button will help us to perform every action we have to take during the game, so in some ways the game itself will lead us without offering almost any obstacle. By clicking on an object, a place or a character we can see the options, such as speaking, asking, or how to use objects, so there is really no typical system where we have to try all the objects at all locations, or to combine objects.
Carte Blanche graphics and aesthetics are based on the Hollywood's classical Film Noir style, with its cinemascope format in black and white.
